Our team of onsite and offshore projects experts can help and assist customers to decide what to outsource in offshore environment. Below is the X-Y scale which could assist the customers in visualizing potential candidates for offshore outsourcing. Outsourcing work to an offshore development center has huge benefits. It's also a strategic tool gaining competitive advantage in the market.

  • Cost Saving
  • Faster Time-to-Market
  • Sustained quality
  • Retention of knowledge base
  • Access to critical technology skills
  • Improved quality

How we do it?

ASA has a well defined approach for taking over any software development work to Offshore Development Centre. The work is divided in various phases. With a well defined approach and plan our team can assist customers to start a reliable offshore relationship. It starts from (1)Feasibility Study (2) Requirement Gathering & Analysis (3)Project Management Planning (4)Acceptance Testing (5)Delivery (6)Implementation (7)Development (8)Detailed Design (9)System Testing (10)Quality Assurance (11)Support & Maintenance (12)Follow-up Activities

Step 1: Signing Of Contract:

Gathering High Level Requirements of the project.
Estimation, Planning development workpack & Signing of Contracts (Engagement Phase)
Planning & Defining the scope of offshore workpack along with the expected steady state SLAs
Define Project Management Metrics. (Measuring of KPA's)
Define escalation and status reporting process (Communication Plan)

Step 2 : Identify Core Team:

Define resource loading for entire SDLC and steady state along with roles and responsibilities at Onsite / Offshore.
Knowledge Acquisition Process for AS-IS and TO-BE scenarios.

Step 3 : Identify Addtional infrastructure Requirement:

Identify infrastructure and additional h/w & s/w requirements (Development Environment Setup Plan)

Step 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8: Offshore Simulation and ODC Setup

Classroom sessions for system knowledge transfer (architecture, functional, coding, bug base, change requests, test plans, processes etc)
Arrange hands-on sessions for current system development and maintenance
Implement infrastructure (network connectivity for remote logins, database
connectivity, email ids, system login ids etc)
Take a stock of knowledge transfer and infrastructure implementation

Step 9: Pilot Project Execution

Pilot Projects phase
Setup 50% of ODC team at offshore and balance 50% team will be at onsite
Execute low risk pilot projects from offshore Infrastructure.
Review (SDLC process, status reporting, SLAs, infrastructure performance)
Do fine tuning of the above processes to optimize efficiencies on both sides.

Step 10: Pilot Project Execution

Initiate 100% transition to steady state offshore ODC
ODC fully functional for subsequent projects
Continuous Review and improvisations (SDLC process, status reporting, SLAs, infrastructure performance)
